Why Should You Choose Train Simulator World 3?: Mega Guide 2024

The third game in the Train Sim World series is called Train Sim World 3. On September 6, 2022, it became available on Steam, Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and the Epic Games Store. All players who had placed a preorder for the game were able to receive early access.

The goal of this guide is to increase the value of purchases made by both new and returning players. This guide is meant for those who want to start using Train Sim World 3 or want to add more games to their collection.

What is Train Sim World 3?

A brand-new game in the Train Sim World series, Train Sim World 3 is an interesting and detailed rail simulation.  Along with many other improvements that are listed below, it will have three new routes in addition to enhanced lighting, dynamic weather, and a training center.

Train World Sim Review

Like many others, I suppose, I had a childhood desire to be able to run my train. To be honest, though, there were many jobs I wanted to perform back then. I once wanted to work as a park ranger, a firefighter, and a garbage man. That was mostly due to my naive idea of how boring those jobs would have been in reality if I had had to spend hours upon hours performing them. Playing the recently released PC and console game Train Sim World, I was reminded of this harsh reality. Like many work simulators, it is a rather realistic and thorough recreation of an, to be honest, uninteresting profession. As a result, the game is regrettably not enjoyable.

To start with, Train Sim World appears to teach you all the many skills you need to operate a train quite effectively. Much as in Bus Simulator 18, you are faced with a console full of switches and buttons that you must manipulate to get the train to move out of the station. In the Tutorial, you will learn how to use a variety of controls, including brakes, throttles, reversers, releases, power buttons, switches, and a plethora of other devices. After that, you will get your train and be put in many scenarios involving trains. Everything is going well so far, right?

However, design flaws become apparent immediately. In my first scenario, my job was to make sure my train of passengers arrived at their destination on schedule. I was instructed to “open the doors,” but the Tutorial did not explain how to accomplish this, so I was at a loss. I was very stuck trying to figure out how to operate the doors because none of the console buttons worked. I didn’t know for sure that Tab was the button to open and close the doors until I looked it up online. Train Sim World does an excellent job of getting you started driving quickly, but I soon discovered that I was missing some important information.

You do get a fair amount of content for your money with Train Sim World. A wide range of scenarios allows you to experience nearly every aspect of railroading, from delivering freight to making schedules on time to occasionally traveling as a passenger through locations like New York and London. The scenarios simply aren’t that intriguing, which is the issue. I’m not exactly thrilled when I meet goals that need me to not move too quickly. The accuracy of Train Sim World makes matters worse; I promise you that 15 minutes of real-time train travel through uninteresting metropolitan landscapes.

Tedium is the best word I can use to describe the player experience in Train Sim World. To be honest, I swear that developers of Dovetail Games almost seem to enjoy highlighting every little unnecessary detail about the boredom of train life. For instance, you are frequently required to go a considerable distance only to board your train, after which you must sit for ten or more minutes in real time until the time of your planned departure. Be still my beating heart, there is absolutely nothing for you to do as a driver once you get rolling other than to stare out at boring cityscapes or perhaps adjust the train’s speed a little.

Fast-Track to Snooze Town

The game has a decent, smooth visual style, with realistic-looking train models. Furthermore, the environments you go through look realistic. However, there’s also a sterility about it all that makes it more boring. The cities are like flawless but dead models, dead and empty. Similar to what I discovered with Bus Simulator 18, your trains are also populated by robotic mannequins rather than actual humans. It doesn’t really matter if you’re the train’s driver or a passenger because you spend most of the time looking out the window at the same awful location.

What are the new features will Train Sim World 3 have?
